7 new bus services are being considered across Westmorland and Furness – and 25 which were recently supported are being investigated for funding for another year – thanks to £1.7 million worth of UK Government Local Authority Bus Grant funding.
A decision by the council’s Cabinet means communities will benefit from access to employment, education and essential services, cutting around 65,000 car journeys per year.
One of the services getting further funding is the 106 between Greystoke and Penrith – which we visited last summer….
