When Rebecca’s aunt and uncle passed away, leaving no children behind, the family discovered an unexpected name in their will. It subsequently turned out that not only was this ‘friend of the family’ the named executor, he’d been forging their signatures to increase the share left to him, and had been syphoning off cash totalling over £265,000 from their bank accounts years before they’d died.
