WWE issued a storyline injury update on Charlotte Flair after last night's attack by Nia Jax on RAW and noted that it's believed she may have suffered a potential collarbone fracture. For those who missed it, Flair brawled with Jax before losing a title match to RAW Women's Champion Asuka. Flair was then attacked by Jax in the backstage area. WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair later appeared in a RAW segment with Randy Orton and promised that when Charlotte returns she will be coming for Jax.Charlotte Flair is being evaluated for an injury following the ruthless attack by Nia Jax on Raw, WWE.com has learned. Flair had already suffered an injury in a brawl with Jax prior to her Raw Women's Title Match with Asuka. After coming up short against The Empress of Tomorrow, The Queen was ruthlessly attacked in the backstage area by Jax, who slammed a road case into Flair's arm. While the specifics of The Queen's injury have not been fully determined, it is believed she may have suffered a potential collarbone fracture.
Tessa Blanchard made history as the first-ever female Impact Wrestling World Champion. Blanchard’s title reign ended with her termination from the company. Blanchard’s Impact Wrestling contract was set to expire on June 30th. This was weeks before her Slammiversary match on July 18th. Now that she’s fired and stripped of the title that match must now be changed. Impact Wrestling asked Blanchard to film vignettes weeks ago to promote the Slammiversary match, but she did not film anything according to Fightful. Instead of filming content for them, she asked for a “day rate.” The two sides could not agree to make that happen. It was also noted that this firing has nothing to do with the controversies that came out in January. She was accused of backstage bullying and other abusive behavior. Tessa Blanchard has interest in other companies already, but the specific ones were not mentioned.
Compare the divas division today to the division 3 years ago. Sure we have a few more faces but again, who were the top stars hogging all the TV time 3 years ago? The Four Horsewomen, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, and Nia Jax. Now I ask, who's in the title picture right now? Who do you think is next in line for a title run? There's your problem. It's not that there's not anyone better that can take the belts from them it's just that WWE literally doesn't know who they want to dethrone them. Both Becky Lynch and Charlotte are going to be out of action for a while. WWE just defaulted back to having Bayley and Sasha Banks take over the entire division. Let's be honest, the tag belts have been irrelevant since WrestleMania last year so if anything this does a great job of reviving interest in the entire division. Especially with Bayley as the Smackdown Champion right now, that just creates a whole nother dynamic to where the tag division is also the main event.
How would you feel about an AJ Lee return? I think there's a lot of really interesting things they could do with an AJ return. A feud against Bayley would probably be at the top of that list. I can already tell though that regardless how she returns, I'm pretty sure she's going to be promoted as the pioneer of the divas revolution. I'd probably be really conflicted in a feud between her and Charlotte because I probably prefer AJ over Charlotte but it'd also be funny to see Charlotte bury her. Or she could just go to NXT and try to help elevate them.
Why do you hate AJ Lee and her fans? I have 2 examples. The Raw after WrestleMania 31 where the entire crowd made sexist chants for every diva except AJ. And the 2015 Paris terror attack. So The Bella's were in Paris during the attacks so obviously their fans were concerned. Apparently that pissed off AJ smarks so much that they started attacking anyone who sent messages praying for The Bella's. Think about that. In the middle of a terrorist attack with people's lives at risk, they still could not put aside a stupid wrestling feud. So that's always been my main gripe with AJ, it's not so much her but just the fact that she basically inspired the incel movement in WWE.
