James Beattie - Stoke City

Описание: James Beattie goals - 2009

After beginning his career at Blackburn Rovers he enjoyed his most prolific years as a regular Premiership goalscorer for Southampton. Between 1998 and 2005 he netted 76 goals for the Saints. After a spell at Everton he dropped down to the Championship with Sheffield United, scoring 34 goals in eighteen months before finding his way to the Britannia Stadium in January 2009. Stoke were struggling for goals at the time and the double signing of Beattie and winger Matthew Etherington ultimately helped the club secure top flight safety and a mid table finish. His second season at the club wasn't as prolific and the following summer he moved on to Glasgow Rangers on a free transfer.
