So glad to have found this VHS tape after years of being lost in storage, presenting Inside the Deal - an ESPN exclusive behind-the-scenes look into the negotiations that led to the Boston Red Sox ultimately signing Manny Ramirez back in December, 2000, to an 8-year, $160 million dollar contract. *Club Options for years 9 & 10 at $20 mil/per if picked up.

The major 'players' in the negotiations are Manny Ramirez with agent Jeff Moorad, GM Pat Gillick of the Mariners, GM John Hart and a young Chris Antonetti of the Indians, GM Brian Cashman of the Yankees (on the phone), GM Dan Duquette and Assistant GMs Lee Thomas & Mike Port of the Boston Red Sox and others. Much of the negotiations were held at the Winter Meetings that year in Dallas.

Recorded on 12/16/00. Video & audio captured via S-video & a Pinnacle capture card, restored, denoised, and upscaled using AviSynth+, converted in Hybrid, and exported in Premiere.
