A tribute to the inventor of Heavy Metal, one of the most authentic human beings to ever live, and my biggest personal role model.

In 2025, we lost a legend. For me, it felt like losing a close friend, even though I never met him. I don’t cry often, but on that day, I shed many tears. Ozzy’s voice was unique, but his presence was even more so. I’ve never seen anyone so authentic—when I saw him live in 2011, I had goosebumps the entire show. It wasn’t a stage persona; it was 100% pure Ozzy and pure madness.

About this Cover: He became the biggest influence on my life as a musician and a human. His guitarists shaped my style, and I wanted to pay tribute in the most respectful way possible.

The Song: One of my favorites—and arguably the first progressive metal song ever written.

The Vision: I wanted to stay true to the original while using modern production techniques and equipment to bring its essence into the modern day.

Special Thanks: A massive thank you to the amazing Denise Sander for lending her voice to this project! She recorded these incredible vocals in just 30 minutes in my studio—the rest of the time was spent laughing and making jokes. And also a massive thank you to Marco Heinzig for helping me with the video shooting.

Ozzy helped me so much through his music, and I’m sure he did the same for many of you. I hope you enjoy this tribute.
