𝗪𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡: Police Arrest Driver on Ocean Front Walk

Описание: SANTA MONICA, Calif. — Thursday afternoon, March 26, 2026 — Santa Monica police officers arrested a woman on suspicion of driving under the influence after her vehicle was found on Ocean Front Walk, a pedestrian-only zone where cars are not permitted.

According to what was observed at the scene, the woman was seated inside a Honda that had come to a stop along the walkway. She appeared disoriented and told responders she did not know how she had entered the area or how to exit.

A Santa Monica Community Service Officer initially made contact with the woman and, after a brief interaction, requested sworn officers to respond. Police arrived shortly thereafter and spoke with the woman for several minutes before asking her to step out of the vehicle.

Officers then conducted a horizontal gaze nystagmus test, during which the subject is asked to follow an object with their eyes. Following the evaluation, the woman was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers located multiple bottles of alcohol inside.

The woman was transported from the scene, and a tow truck was requested. The vehicle was later removed from Ocean Front Walk without further incident.
