About the Guest:

Nikhil hails from the small city of Allahabad. He grew up with dogs in his house.
After moving to Delhi at a young age and spending 11 years in the corporate world, he chose to become an entrepreneur in 2011. In 2014, he got into Animal Rescue. With 11 rescued pups and dogs at home, he knew there's no stopping back. That's when he started Umeed for the Animal Foundation.
Nikhil founded Umeed in 2015 and started working towards the rehabilitation of animals. Umeed was registered in 2016. With a small set up and limited resources, he always believes in taking rescue cases of animals that he knows he can do justice to.
He learned about Animal Law and their rights and chose to fight for the voiceless. He took up the interest and challenge to learn snake rescue from experts. With his learning over the years, he also does behavioral correction of aggressive dogs.
They are a rehabilitation center and over the years, they have rehabilitated dogs, cats, horses, cows, pigs, and more.
His purpose of life is clear, it is dedicated to helping animals and for his living, he runs a Dog Boarding and Day Care facility. It also helps him sustain Umeed.

About the Host:

Rana Atheya is the founder and the CEO of DogSpot.in, India's largest online pet lovers platform.
His love for dogs comes from an early age as he used to pick up street puppies. His father was a professor in veterinary science, which made him more curious in the world of dogs and animals. His wife runs a boarding, grooming and pet relocation set up called PetSpot.
