Sikkim Strengthens Adventure Tourism with Level III & IV Rafting Training

Описание: The River Rafting Guide Course – Level III & IV (Advanced), along with Water-Based Search & Rescue Training, has concluded at Sikip, Soreng. The training was held from February 13 to 27, 2026.

The programme was organised by the Indian Himalayan Centre for Adventure and Eco-Tourism under the Tourism & Civil Aviation Department, Government of Sikkim, as part of the Sikkim INSPIRES Adventure Skilling Training Programme.

Seventeen participants have successfully completed the certified course and are now qualified river rafting guides. Expert trainers from the United States, representing the Nantahala Outdoor Centre, conducted advanced technical and rescue sessions.

The initiative has strengthened professional skills, improved safety standards, and supported Sikkim’s growing adventure tourism sector.
