Protein Laddu Ingredients:
Seeds (All Roasted):
• Flaxseeds
• Sesame Seeds
• Sunflower Seeds
• Pumpkin Seeds
• Chia Seeds
• Foxtail Millet (Optional)
Nuts and Dried Fruit:
• Chopped Cashew
• Chopped Almond
• Chopped Fig
• Seedless Dates
• Roasted Peanuts (Optional)
Fat:
• Ghee
👩🍳 Procedure (Step-by-Step):
1. Roasting the Seeds:
• Flaxseeds: Roast the flaxseeds in a pan until they are done, then transfer them to a large mixing bowl (0:01 - 0:06).
• Sesame Seeds: Roast the sesame seeds in the same pan and add them to the bowl with the flaxseeds (0:07 - 0:10).
• Sunflower & Pumpkin Seeds: Roast the sunflower and pumpkin seeds together. Add them to the bowl (0:11 - 0:16).
• Chia Seeds: Roast the chia seeds and add them to the bowl (0:17 - 0:21).
• Foxtail Millet (Optional): If using, roast the foxtail millet and add it to the bowl (0:22 - 0:25).
2. Roasting Nuts and Dried Fruit:
• Cashew, Almond, and Fig: Add some Ghee to the pan (0:26 - 0:27). Once melted, add the chopped cashew, almond, and fig. Roast them until golden-brown and fragrant, then add them to the mixing bowl (0:28 - 0:33).
• Seedless Dates: Add a little more Ghee to the pan (0:35). Add the seedless dates and roast them until they soften and form a sticky, dough-like mixture (0:36 - 0:41).
3. Mixing and Shaping:
• Combine and Mix: Transfer the roasted dates into the large bowl with all the roasted seeds, nuts, and figs (0:42).
• Optional: Add the roasted peanuts now, if desired (0:45 - 0:46).
• Mix everything together well using your hands, ensuring the date mixture binds all the dry ingredients (0:43 - 0:48).
• Make Laddus: Take a small portion of the mixture in your hand and press it firmly to shape it into a small round laddu (0:49 - 0:56).
• Serve: Place the finished laddus on a plate and enjoy! (0:57 - 0:59).
