Kreuz König, also known as King of Clubs or King's Cross, is a popular Jugendtanz from Germany that was created in the post World War I era. It is one of the most well-known dances from this time period. Kreuz König features grapevine steps, mazurka steps, as well as a dutch flying figure. There are variations of this dance that replace the fly. For example, one variation includes getting in the position of the fly, but running instead of lifting the girls.
This dance was performed by Nick, Edgar, Melissa, and Charlotte, four of our senior members in Das ist Keine Kunst.
