The Kenya Pipeline Company has begun evicting those squatting on pipeline wayleave across the country in a process the parastatal says is aimed at protecting vital oil infrastructure and mitigating safety risks. Kenya Pipeline Company Wayleave Manager Stanley Manduku says the evictions are expected to impact hundreds of households that have settled on pipeline land over the past 25 years.
