OP is the second-born son. His older brother, the firstborn, was the golden child from the second he was born. It was always easier for OP's brother. He was more athletic and smart, and things just came to him easier. OP is smart and has his strengths, but it takes him a bit longer to do things because of a learning disability. As a result, his father and mother gave their golden boy son more attention. Whenever OP did have any events or celebrations, they skipped out on it. This continued even into children.
Currently, OP is living on his own and is engaged to be married. His life has gone quite well, while his brother's life hasn't. OP's brother was always allowed to get away with things, so now that he is out of college and in the real world, he still expects things to come to him, but that doesn't happen anymore. So after his brother ends up getting a court hearing on the same day as his wedding, he decides to just not invite his parents.
When his parents find out that they are not invited to the wedding, they leave the hearing early and try to crash it! OP was ready for his parents to show up and hired security guards to act as bouncers so that when they showed up, they wouldn't be let in! After his brother ends up being charged with a huge fine, the parents go to their son and beg for help because they can't afford it. But OP says nope! He isn’t going to help his parents after everything they have done to him because he wants nothing to do with any of his family! The
only person he is going to focus on is himself, his wife, and their kids when they end up deciding to have some. Speaking of which, his parents will not be allowed access to these kids at all.
