What is the history of Dakat Kali Mandir?
It is heard that Raghu Dakat was the abode of this Kali Mandir. Raghu used to worship Kali before going out to commit robbery. Once he was caught in a robbery, Kalimurti broke himself with a sword in anger.Later, the broken idol was worshiped, later the broken idol was stolen, after which the residents of the area have been worshiping the banyan tree of the temple in the form of Kali. At present the condition of the temple is almost ruined. The banyan tree surrounds the temple.
When is the temple festival?
Kali Puja is performed with great pomp during Kalipujo every year, also on Tuesdays of every week and in the new moon of every month.

শিয়ালদহ থেকে বনগাঁ অথবা হাসনাবাদ অথবা বারাসাত গামী ট্রেনে উঠে নামতে হবে বারাসাত স্টেশন সেখান থেকে ভ্যান বা টোটো তে চলে আসুন চাপাডালি মোড় সেখান থেকে আবার অটো অথবা টোটো তে চলে আসুন বারাসাতের ডাকাত কালী মন্দিরে।

বারাসাতের 22 নম্বর ওয়ার্ডে অবস্থিত এই রঘু ডাকাত কালীমন্দির।
বারাসাতের ডাকাত কালী মন্দিরের ইতিহাস কি?
শোনা যায় এই কালীমন্দিরে আস্তানা ছিল রঘু ডাকাতের। রঘু ডাকাত ডাকাতি করতে যাওয়ার আগে কালী পুজো করে তবে ডাকাতি করতে বের হতো। একবার ডাকাতি করতে গিয়ে ধরা পড়ে যাওয়ার কারণে রাগে তলোয়ার দিয়ে কালীমূর্তি নিজেই ভেঙে দেয়। পরে সেই ভাঙ্গা মূর্তিতেই পুজো হত, পরবর্তীকালে সেই ভাঙ্গা মূর্তি চুরি হয়ে যায় এরপর এলাকার বাসিন্দারা মন্দিরের বটগাছটি কালী রূপে পুজো করে আসছেন। বর্তমানে মন্দিরটির অবস্থা ধ্বংসপ্রায়। বটগাছটি আষ্টেপৃষ্টে জড়িয়ে রেখেছে মন্দিরকে।
মন্দিরের উৎসব কবে হয়?
প্রতি বছর কালিপুজোর সময় বেস্ট ধুমধাম করে কালী পূজা হয়, এছাড়াও প্রতি সপ্তাহের মঙ্গলবার এবং প্রতি মাসের অমাবস্যায় পূজা হয়।
