Описание: #shoeboxford #dadmods #clipswap In this episode of Dad Mods we show you how we completed a S10 front clip swap on a 1950 Ford Custom sedan. This is not a DIY but does provide the viewer with some pearls of wisdom and insight into how we completed the task.

Info on S10 clip swap:
All 2WD Chevrolet S10s have the same track width, so this swap is possible using any two wheel drive truck.
Where the two frames are connected they are the same outside width (track width).
The inside of the S10 frame is wider and will leave a pocket that needs to be filled. This is done by plating the frame.
Frame plating is essential, and at the minimum use 1/8" plate and create a full box around the two frames.
Consider hiring a certified welder for the "butt weld" and the "plate welds".
Fish plating is different from what we did by boxing the frame. Fish plating are single plates that are often fitted to the outer portion of the frame to help support a frame. Box plating is intended to cover all the different sides to create a box around the frame.
