'90 ദിവസത്തിനകം കുറ്റപത്രം സമർപ്പിക്കാത്തതിനാലാണ് പ്രതികൾക്ക് സ്വാഭാവിക ജാമ്യം ലഭിക്കുന്നത്' എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം നിയമസഭയ്ക്ക് പുറത്ത് മാധ്യമങ്ങളോട് പറഞ്ഞു. തന്ത്രിയുടെ അറസ്റ്റ് രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രേരിതമാണെന്നും തെളിവുകളുടെ അഭാവത്തിലാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ജാമ്യം ലഭിച്ചതെന്നും ചെന്നിത്തല ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി. ദേവസ്വം മന്ത്രി രാജിവെക്കണമെന്നും എസ്.ഐ.ടി അന്വേഷണത്തിൽ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ ഇടപെടൽ അവസാനിപ്പിക്കണമെന്നും ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് പ്രതിപക്ഷം നിയമസഭാ നടപടികൾ ബഹിഷ്കരിച്ചു.
