Enjoy the music of Gran Turismo with some images and video of my visit to the Multi Mini Station in Hong Kong.

Multi Mini Station has a long history with Kyosho Mini-Z's. It is very evident given their events and tracks are setup to cater to racers aiming to participate in the Kyosho Cup. They primarily focus their races on the Kyosho MR-03 EVO platform but they are well versed in other brands such as Atomic and GL Racing.

I visited the track on a Thursday evening after normal work hours. Upon entry, I discovered a nice and cozy pit area near a track that's raised on to a table top. There were a few guys there getting ready and practicing so I setup nearby and took a look around. They were friendly to chat with and welcomed me into their abode.

You can see that they have some interesting hobby decorations on their shelves, as well as some parts for cars. Behind the pit area where I was sitting, there was another room (not shown) where some "VIP" racers have set up their personal desks. They park all their gear there so they don't have to keep transporting to and from home. There are also several lockers lining the walls for racers to rent for a similar purpose.

I had a chance to drive my Reflex Racing RX28 (Gen. 1) - 2500kv Lipo, and GL Racing GLR-GT - 3500kv Lipo on their track. The layout of the track is very narrow given the space restrictions. It is as efficient as it gets being 2 tile wide in most areas.

What you see in the video was towards the beginning of my session when I was still getting used to the track. At this point in time, I had not done Mini-Z for a good month or so. Naturally as I put in more laps, I began to drive better and smoother as the evening went on.

Not surprisingly, most of the other racers there had clean laps. They have very precise control of their cars on this layout that is extremely technical. You really have to keep your focus up on 80-90% of the layout.

Overall, I had a good time there and was glad to visit MMS, being one of the few Mini-Z track sites in Hong Kong. If I am in the city again, I would try to make a trip back here.
