While on a business trip in Vancouver British Columbia we came across what turned out to be a very seriously injured pigeon. What caught our attention at first was how drivers were stopping and going around the bird on the road, but it soon became clear the bird was really messed up. We stopped traffic so we could grab the bird.
Being without a car and not knowing how to get the bird the help it needed, we decided to put it in the share while we googled a pet rescue. With some luck, one of the people that we stopped so we could get the bird was a local and turned his car around to come back and take the Pigeon to the Vet as he was living in the Area. I dont know his name or the Vet who turned out to help (Thank you!).
I hope you enjoy this little bit of humanity in what is sometimes a crazy world. Despite a Pigeons reputation, and what ever you may think of them, no creature should suffer.
