Now, on 23rd July 2024, following a representation from a candidate regarding questions in the Meghalaya Civil Services (P) Examination 2022 & 2023, held on 4th November 2023, the questions were reviewed by an expert. Based on the expert's recommendation, the OMR answer sheets were reassessed, and the candidates bearing the following roll numbers are declared successful, in addition to those announced earlier in Notification No. MPSC/Ex-C/50/2021-2022/133, dated 15th December 2023. It should be noted that limiting the fresh selection to the appellant alone would be unfair, as other candidates may be disadvantaged due to ignorance. Therefore, applying the principle of equality, all answer sheets were reassessed, and the current list of successful candidates meeting the cut-off marks has been finalized.

Questions:

1. How many questions were confusing or incorrect?
2. If all OMR sheets have been reassessed, why did all candidates from the previous result clear the cut-off? There might be some who might not clear the cut-off if the answers are different. Why is there only a new list of candidates who cleared the cut-off?
3. What is the chance that new OMR sheets have been replaced? Since the questions are already known, candidates will know the answers. Provide proof by making all the OMR sheets, answer keys, attendance sheets, OMR numbers, and other relevant information available. I understand this may impact privacy, but this is not the proper way to reassess the exam.
