Join me on a relaxing walk along the windy pier in Harlingen, overlooking the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea in the Netherlands. 🌊☀️
I start by climbing the sea dike at the monument De Stenen Man. From the pier, we enjoy wide views of the sea, birds flying by, ferries heading to the Frisian Islands, and fishing boats returning to the harbor.
We even catch a magical moment when the whale fountain suddenly starts spouting water just as I walk past 🐋 — perfect timing!
It was a sunny and windy day (around 20°C), with blue skies — the perfect setting for a relaxing sea walk and some fresh ocean breeze. Along the way I also share personal reflections about walking more since my surgery, and how I’m enjoying these moments by the coast.
