The radical and somewhat contentious decision of the CIC stating that Political Parties are public authorities and consequently bringing 6 of them presently under the RTI Act has raised a political storm. In this episode of Sarokar, we debate the merits of the order and how far it would go to serve the basic thought behind the RTI Act. We also discuss if the order can be implemented practically.
