Описание: দেশে প্রতিদিন প্রায় ২৭ লাখ ৫০ হাজার লিটার পানির প্রয়োজন হয়। এর ৮০ শতাংশই আসে ভূগর্ভস্থ উৎস থেকে। এতে দেশের ভূগর্ভস্থ পানির স্তর দ্রুত শেষ হয়ে আসছে বলে আশঙ্কা করছেন বিশ্লেষকরা।

কেন দেশে ভূগর্ভস্থ পানি উত্তোলনের হার বাড়ছে? পানির এই স্তর দ্রুত নেমে গেলে বা শেষ হয়ে গেলে কী পরিস্থিতি হবে?

Why we should be concerned over declining underground water-level



This country needs 2.75 million litres of water per day, and almost 80% of this comes from underground reservoirs. And as the country gets more and more industrialised, urbanised, and populated, the underground water level drops more rapidly than ever before.

What could happen if this situation is allowed to continue? What should the government do right now?
