Filmmaker U talks with Sound Designer Wylie Stateman and Supervising Sound Editor Anne Jimkes-Root about their work on "American Primeval" for Netflix. Wylie Stateman is a Nine-time Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award-winning sound designer Wylie Stateman is the co-founder of Soundelux and now the creative director of Twenty Four Seven Sound. He has worked with filmmakers on more than 150 films and received Academy Award nominations for his work on "Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood," "Deepwater Horizon," "Lone Survivor," "Django Unchained," "Inglourious Basterds," "Wanted," "Memoirs of a Geisha", "Cliffhanger" and "Born on the Fourth of July." Stateman also benefited from rich and long-lasting relationships with many talented filmmakers of our time, including Quentin Tarantino, Oliver Stone, Wolfgang Peterson, and the late John Hughes.

Anne Jimkes-Root is a Sound Designer, Emmy-nominated Re-Recording Mixer, and Music Editor from the Netherlands. For the past several years, Anne has been a lead creative and organizational contributor at 247SND and Soundelux, working closely with acclaimed Sound Designer Wylie Stateman. Anne’s creative sound work includes projects directed by Peter Berg ("Painkiller," "American Primeval"), Sam Levinson ("Euphoria," "The Idol"), Andrés Baiz ("Griselda"), and others. The past year, Anne collaborated with the renowned post-rock band Explosions In The Sky to curate the original score for Peter Berg’s latest Netflix limited series, "American Primeval."
