You are invited to a performance at your local theatre. But before the show even starts, there is mischief backstage! The hometown production finds itself in jeopardy when a money-hungry, donut-eating producer decides to stage the same show across the street -- only bigger and better! With a large arts grant on the line, the competing theatre try to outdo themselves with disaster striking at every turn. To add to the drama, three theatre critics from New York mysteriously show up and try to sway public opinion. The situation goes from bad to worse for the hometown theatre when its biggest star breaks her leg and can't perform. Will the show go on?
