Montjuich Park street circuit

Описание: In this video I take you to the former Montjuich street circuit in Barcelona. I made this photo tour in the summer of 2008. On my next Barcelona trip I will make an onboard video of the Montjuich race track.

From 1969 to 1975 the Spanish GP was held on Montjuich Park every two years. It was alternated with the Jarama circuit near Madrid. After a dissaster during the 1975 Grand Prix, where 3 marshalls an 1 reperter were killed, the circuit was found too dangerous for Formula One.

Untill 1986 the track was used for 24 hour races for motorcycles, but closed afte the 1986 edition. In 2007 there was a revival at the former Montjuich street circuit.
