YES IT DOES!! First, excuse the mess in the video. In this 1 minute video we briefly show the differences and the comparison of various particle sizes on a couple of our white pigments.
Why does this matter? All pigments are not the same especially when it comes to particle sizes. For instance, in this video you will see three different sizes. The typical pigment on todays market is 10-60um (microns). The basic rule of thumb is the larger the number, the larger the pigment.
Just because the pigment is larger does NOT mean it will not cover or be opaque quicker! Actually it's quite the opposite! For example, you would need a lot more of our Icicle (200-700um) than our Shide White (5-25um) to create an opaque look as you see at the end of this video.
Typically larger pigment particle colors such as our Icicle is great to be used for accents or sparkles. I.E. final coat of a countertop, etc. You can also mix it with another white pigment to create a little extra bling in a pour.
