Описание: ADR E Community Catalyst Children at Risk of Poor Outcomes Webinar - Supporting health, social care, and education needs for children at risk of poor outcomes: towards a joined-up, data-driven approach.

In this session, there are two presentations highlighting how connected data can be used to explore and answer the current questions in children’s health, social care and, education.

The first presentation was given by Professor Mark Mon-Williams from the University of Leeds

Title: How connected data can help to address the SEND crisis.

Background: Many children are struggling within school with unmet educational needs and, concurrently, many children are waiting many years for clinical autism and ADHD assessments. Connected data can help us understand these phenomena and the extent to which they are related. We will share insights on SEND and neurodevelopmental pathways from Connected Bradford (a database containing all of the health, education and care records for citizens across the Bradford District).

The second presentation was given by Professor Dougal Hargreaves and George Melrose both from Imperial College London.

Title: Joining up data around young people in crisis in London.

Background: There is growing concern about rising number of children and young people presenting to the NHS with a mental health crisis, and to the children's social care system with complex needs. This presentation will explore how linked, multi-agency data may support work to identify and address these needs earlier.

The session was chaired by one the Co-leads of ADR England Community Catalyst: Children at Risk of Poor Outcomes project Professor Lucy Griffiths, support by Dr Grace Bailey & Marie Greaves.

Co-funded by ADR England and Foundations – What Works Centre for Children and Families, the ADR England Research Community Catalyst: Children at Risk of Poor Outcomes aims to increase use of the ADR Flagship datasets, and to support a community of researchers and analysts focused on children and young people supported by early intervention services or children’s social care in the UK. As part of this work, they have developed a Research Agenda, built on a comprehensive review of the evidence and national stakeholder consultation.
