Before anyone thinks their ears have malfunctioned, I've rolled-off a lot of the bass end of the soundtrack and lowered the overall volume too. The reason? Because it was like bedlam otherwise!
The engine house at Highley is normally quiet and almost churchlike, but with the creche/playground area (note the parents in deckchairs!) and the acoustics of the place this was the exception that proved the rule; Amongst the out-of-ticket locos present were LMR 2-10-0 600 "Gordon", Ivatt 2-6-0 46443, Stanier Eight 2-8-0 48773 and 'Small Prairie' 2-6-2T 4566, but I think that Black Five 45110 had already packed it's bags and left for a new career on the mainline by this time.
