Who are the Gorillaz? The Fortnite Festival Headliner is... a cartoon band?! And you might not know everything about them. So I'll tell you!!

Gorillaz are a British VIRTUAL band made up of 4 cartoon characters: singer 2-D, bad boy Murdoc Niccals, the drummer Russel Hobbs, and guitar player Noodle.

Even though there are 4 virtual musicians in the band, there are only 3 real people in the band!

Damon Albarn used to be the front man for the rock band Blur, and he does most of the music in Gorillaz.

Jamie Hewlett is probably the only COMIC BOOK ARTIST to be in a band. He doesn't sing much, but he handles the art. He and Damon started Gorillaz while roommates in 1998, as a way to comment on the "lack of substance" in pop culture.

And Remi Kabaka Jr is a music producer and provides the voice for Russel Hobbs.

Some of their most popular songs are Feel Good Inc, which has over 1 billion views on YouTube
