Invocation

Salutations to Lord Anjaneya, the supremely powerful one. I offer this mantra with devotion.

Verse 1

Salutations to the son of the Wind God,
the mighty and wise one,
the divine messenger of Shri Rama,
who can assume any form and is ever auspicious.

Verse 2

Salutations to the destroyer of delusion and grief,
the remover of Sita’s sorrow,
the one who destroyed Ashoka grove,
burned Lanka, and is supremely eloquent.

Verse 3

Salutations to the one whose speed surpasses the wind,
the giver of life to Lakshmana,
the greatest among the Vanaras,
the self-controlled forest-dweller.

Verse 4

Salutations to Anjaneya, the heroic one,
immersed in the nectar-ocean of divine wisdom,
the glorious minister of Sugriva.

Verse 5

Salutations to the destroyer of fear of birth and death,
the remover of all sufferings,
the protector from ghosts, spirits, and negative beings.

Verse 6

Salutations to the monkey-formed Lord
who destroys all tortures,
who removes fear from yakshas, demons, serpents,
scorpions, and all poisonous creatures.

Salutations to the eternally living, mighty hero,
whose body is as strong as a thunderbolt,
who leapt across the vast ocean.

Salutations again and again, O Maruti, leader of the strong.
O Hanuman, destroyer of demons—

Whoever sincerely praises Lord Maruti in this way
receives complete fearlessness.
Loss never touches them,
