Do you know Tina Blau? She is considered one of the most important Austrian painters of the 19th century. At a time when women were excluded from academies and rarely received official commissions, she nevertheless managed to establish herself as a landscape painter – supported by her father and through private lessons. Later, she herself influenced entire generations as a long-standing teacher at the art school for women and girls in Vienna.
