Scrap Metal Peacock Sculpture – Creating Art with Plasma Cutting & Welding | Part 2
I was honored to be commissioned by Rob at Xtreme Plasma to create a scrap metal sculpture for shows and exhibitions—and I had full creative freedom! I decided on a pillar with a peacock on top, blending both scrap and new metal to bring this vision to life.
In Part 1, I built the pillar using my @XtremePlasma CNC table. Now, in Part 2, I take it further—crafting the peacock and its intricate tail using plasma cutting, MIG welding, and heat techniques to enhance depth and contrast.
Techniques Used in This Build:
✅ MIG Welding & Hidden Bolts – Strong, seamless joins for durability and aesthetics.
✅ Heat Treatment – Bringing metal to life with stunning color variations.
✅ Mixed Materials – Copper welded onto stainless steel spoons for a striking contrast.
✅ Creative Process – Watch as I experiment and adapt my approach to make this sculpture truly unique!
Huge Thanks To:
🔥 Rob at Xtreme Plasma for commissioning this sculpture!
🔥 AIP Welding Supplies for their continued support.
