There is a fight between current Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam to be the CM face for next year's state elections. As per sources, two issues were discussed in the meeting - first, on contesting elections with BJP alliance, second, on deciding the Party's CM candidate.
Earlier, AIADMK Minister KT Rajenthra Bhalaji had backed Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) as the CM candidate in the upcoming state elections on social media. However today, posters with OPS as the future CM candidate emerged from Theni, which is OPS's constituency.
