"Pentathlon" Synesthetic Score Video

Time for another Synesthetic Score Video! This time I've got a very notey piece from my younger years -- a brass quintet piece called "Pentathlon" that I wrote at the end of college.

I composed the piece using a 'musical sudoku' of sorts: I even provided a quick example of how the piece jumps from tonal set to tonal set. See if you notice big "color shifts" on the score video as you watch!

Even though I'm all smiles in this video, I must admit that this video is coming at the tail end of a strange week for me in the pandemic. The gravity and magnitude of what we're all going through weighs heavily on me, and there has been a long string of sleepless nights.
