How to Single Fire your pottery

Описание: The idea with this video is to help potters who want to start your own journey with "Single Firing". I tell you 1 thing, you will LOVE it. First thing first:
you must have your own kiln
after you make your pieces, allow them to dry for 7 to 10 days
glaze them (yes raw glazing) be very CAREFUL, as they are super fragile
wait 1 day and put them in the kiln (I do cone 6 - midfire)
schedule or program is:
RA 1 - 65 per hour
Deg 1 - 250c
hold 1 - 1 hour

RA 2 - 110 per hour
Deg 2 - 1100c
hold 2 - 0

RA 3 - 65 per hour
Deg 3 - 1208c (or 1207 - you will have to use cones and test your own kiln here to find out the right temperature for you)
hold 3 - 5 minutes

RA 4 - 0

Bungs IN at 600c, around 7 hours after your turn it on (I usually set my alarm as I don't want to have trouble with my kiln hehe)

I Wait till the film temp is low then 100c to open the door a little bit and let it cool down completely before get the pieces out of it.

I use mainly Mayo Glazes, apply them normally, 3 coats (allowing it to dry in between coats).
