Italy Made Easy Italian Vocabulary Words Through Unit 4

Описание: This update removes the fast / slow pronunciations and the spelling. The first two audio clips are the vocabulary words with Italian first followed quickly by the English. Then that is reversed to give the English first for the approximately 140 words.

I used Google Translate to pronounce the vocabulary words for the Italy Made Easy beginner course from words 01 through Unit 4. I added some background still photos of my trip to Rome in 2024. This is an experiment to see how making these videos using this method can be used to learn my vocabulary words while driving and this playing in the background on my radio. Also included are words missed during a dictation exercise and some other random words often heard in dialogs.

This version uses only still photos to improve playback performance. The previous version that used video would often stop playing when there was a poor cell signal, but using stills greatly reduced the file size and appears not to suffer when the cell signal is weak.

On this version, I found out how to make the default play time for still photos, so I downloaded 166 photos and made them 9 seconds each.

On my previous attempt, the photo were out of order because the photo filename didn't actually match when it was taken, so I used EXIFTOOL to get a list of the actual creation date, then renamed the photos according to their timestamp using a DOS batch file.

I used IrfanView batch conversion tool to add a timestamp to each photo. Note that some of the times are off at first before the phone updated the time zone.

I also lowered the level of the music (Whirlpool - The Mini Vandals from the YouTube audio Library), and uploaded the new results.

This version reduced the actual length by using Audacity to cut the fast / slow and spelling. Now there are 2 sections of 4 clips to play Italian then English and then the English then Italian so I can guess what the Italian word is. When I played the Italian word first, it was getting easier, but I still could not recall the word at random. Same music and photos.
