In this second video, I explore the concept of metastability and how it applies to submissions. I also revisit my approach to the half guard, shifting the focus toward attacking our partner’s structure, specifically by controlling the space between the feet and the ankle.
Toward the end of the session, realizing that my English wasn’t exactly operating at peak performance speed, I asked a friend to film us playing some of the games we use to develop defensive skills around submissions. These games highlight how instability, timing, and perception shape real problem-solving in combat.
