European economy on ‘tight rope’ if the 'linkage' to Russian oil and gas is cut off

Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood says there would be potential disruption in Europe by breaking linkage with Russian gas supply as it produces “somewhere between eight and nine per cent” of the world’s oil.
Mr Greenwood spoke to Commonwealth Bank’s Commodities Analyst Vivek Dhar on the matter, saying the state of the oil market has become a live issue in Europe.
Mr Dhar said trying to “walk that tight rope” has been challenging for balancing energy market concerns.
“It will continue to be elevated for the foreseeable future,” he said.
