At 5:00 I explained how to check if sensor is working properly. If you don't see spikes on sensor profile first idea would be that sensor is faulty but not always it is the case. Both and sensor and cable issue can lead to sensor profile without spikes because top sensor signal is going to motherboard through this cable. So there is no simple way to tell which is faulty but in most cases it will be a cable fault.
