I imaju većinom meka i zdepasta tijela.
ENGLISH
The dung beetle, the scarab, the roller – that’s the insect that rolls dung into a ball. Just like making a large snowball from a tiny speck, these insects, believed to be the strongest on Earth, spend their entire lives rolling filth. This, quite irresistibly, reminds me of politicians.
A single dung beetle can allegedly pull a load over a thousand times its own weight; an average politician can steal over a thousand times more than an ordinary person.
A dung beetle, thanks to its abilities, can smell dung from a vast distance; a politician can smell a commission or a lucrative deal for their relatives from over three hundred kilometers away.
Dung beetles fly toward fresh waste only after they have completely emptied their current food source; politicians leave their positions only after they have fully impoverished their people or are removed due to their own stupidity.
In Egyptian mythology, dung beetles are known as SCARABS. This sacred bug appears in many forms throughout Egyptian history. Politicians likewise appear in many forms and carry themselves like sacred bugs. There are hundreds of species. Some eat the dung where they find it; others bury it before consuming it or laying their eggs in it.
All dung beetles are skilled flyers. Since they are surrounded by food, they don’t need to move much. They all have soft, stocky bodies. Politicians generally acquire a rounded, stout physique after a very short time in politics.
The key and only difference between scarabs and politicians is that scarabs are a vital part of the ecosystem, while politicians are highly detrimental to the ecosystem, systematically destroying it with their greed. They are very fond of "laying their eggs" by the sides of secretaries and colleagues. They feed on the "effort" of mammals in their country – some use the wealth immediately, while others hide and invest it before they start consuming it.
All politicians are skilled flyers because they take flight before the flyswatter hits or something crushes them, landing in another place once again rich in resources. Since they have surrounded themselves with power and wealth, they don’t need to move much. Politicians, too, mostly have soft and stocky bodies.
According to sources from Egyptian folklore, the scarab, driven by the urge to reproduce, found a piece of dung, shaped it into a ball, and rolled it from east to west with its hind legs. It then buried the ball in a specially dug hole and left it there for twenty-eight days. On the twenty-ninth day, the scarab threw the dung ball into the water, and the young hatched.
Just as the scarab's life emerged from a ball of dung, so too are politicians often born from the dung of other politicians.
