Camp Bastion is home to the Role 3 Hospital and the Medical Emergency Response Team or MERT.
Sgt Alison Baskerville RLC is the Op HERRICK 14 Combat Camera Team photographer based at Camp Bastion and a few weeks ago, Ali was given the exclusive right to follow the MERT through one of their gruelling 24-hour shifts.
Using Ali's amazing imagery and with a commentary by the Emergency Department Nurse, Flight Sergeant Tony Kyle, follow the story of the MERT Doctor, Major Claire Hayes-Bradley and Paramedics Flight Lieutenant Michelle Sanderson and Corporal Matthew Purssey.
