This is one of the 3 thillanas on Lord Karthikeya by Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman. In the charanam blessing are sought from the compassionate Karthikeya (Lord Muruga) who is the husband of Valli and Kunjari (Devasena), one who has the rooster and who holds the Vel for protecting the devotees from their fears.
Here we present the composition thematically picturized with the rhythm of flowing water. The energy of the jathis and swarams of the thillana are matched with the "gait" of the great falls and the "nadai" and flow of the various water segments.
