About the Author:
Coach Zee earned his Bachelor's of Arts degree in Education from a Jesuit University, where he also played varsity baseball. He is a high school teacher and has coached baseball since 1983 at all levels, from youth league to high school head coach.

He and his wife have been operating youth baseball and softball camps www.http//grandslamcamp.com for more than 20 years, sharing the game with youngsters from ages 6-14. Coaching players of all ages provides avery unique perspective on how to coach the game. Most importantly, he has three grown children of his own, each of whom played ball growing up. This experience is woven deeply within these words.

On the field, his teams have won league, regional and state championships. More importantly, players of all ages and abilities have not only reached their potential, but gained a lifelong love for the game. Many players have gone on to play beyond high school, in college and professionally. Some have gone into coaching while most others have gone on to become successful citizens, husbands and fathers.

Coach Zee hails from a small town where his family - namely his dad and uncles - were heavily into baseball. During the heyday of semi-pro baseball in the 1950's, the family had their own team, which at its core was formed by nine brothers. They achieved local notoriety for both their unique story and success on the field.
