vet school placement diaries: dairy placement // milking, riding quad bikes, OSHA violations

Описание: School has been busy, but I finally pushed out the new series of placement diaries! As a pre-vet student in the past, I found the lack of proper placement reflections online, so I could only count of what people say.
Just wanted to document what vet students do as part of their farm and/or clinical placements, and get prepared for some gory footage along the way and my reflections on the placement❤️

🦬So what is a “farm placement”?

Vet students have to complete several weeks of working on a commercial livestock property - chicken (meat/eggs), cattle (beef/dairy), sheep (wool/meat), miscellaneous (camelids, wildlife etc.) The purpose of the placements are to familiarise us with different farming systems and strategies, so that when we graduate, we know what would be practical solutions to offer people.

🥛That said, if my being at a dairy offends you, I’d like to say that I do not condone any animal cruelty and would never post/publicize things that goes against my beliefs on animal welfare. But I am open to any kind of discussion so feel free to comment (respectfully please)! ❤️
