With Bruce’s Beauties only breaking three times this year in what you could call a proper, fully surfable day, a few surfers made the most of this rare opportunity in June at one of South Africa’s most legendary right-hand point breaks.
Then came July—an absolutely stacked month of swell at Jeffreys Bay, with non-stop waves and the world’s best surfers lighting up the lineup during the WSL J-Bay Open 2025. The whole town was buzzing, and it took me a while to finally get this surf edit finished and out to you guys.
This video has that classic country feeling—backed with bluegrass music, a vintage look, and laid-back vibes that fit the style of Eastern Cape surf culture. From the long peeling walls of Bruce’s Beauties to the world-class waves of J-Bay, it’s a celebration of why this coastline is such a paradise for surfers.
