Henry Ross Perot was born in Texarkana, Texas on June 27, 1930. He was the son of a cotton wholesaling company named Gabriel Ross Perot and his wife, Lula May Perot.
He changed his name from Henry Ray Perot to Henry Ross Perot, out of respect for his father. He was the third child out of three, however, his older brother Gabriel passed away before he was born. He also had an older sister named Bette.
