LEJOG 1 by SUSTRANS route: - Part 1- Days 1-7 New shorter version

Описание: This is a shortened version of a video I posted about a month ago. I felt the original one was simply too long, so I have shortened the clips, missed out some similar shots and edited or added more captions.

It is now one of a series of 7 videos which gives, I think, quite a good idea of what you will encounter when riding LEJOG by the SUSTRANS route.

Sorry about the shaky video! The camera was mounted on an Ortlieb extender to lift it up above my handlebar bag. It was too flimsy and made the camera shake too much for the stabilisation to correct. Hopefully it gives an impression of a nice route, which it is. It looks ok on a small screen!

On day 5 I allowed my camera to get rained on. It is supposed to be waterproof, but water got in it and it stopped working. Because it's waterproof it took about 3 days for the water inside to get out! So there are some days with no video from the handlebar camera; I have tried to fill in with stills and video from my phone.

The signpost near Lands End gives the distance to John O' Groats as 1446 miles "via NCN". However the route published by SUSTRANS in the book we used is about 1176 miles long - I expect the difference is because it sometimes deviates from the numbered NCN routes. We rode further as we included Cape Wrath, Orkney and Shetland in our tour giving roughly 1500 miles.
