One day TTMM Trek to Matheran Via Garbett Point (Matheran Region)
Andheri (Western local train @ 5:09 am) to Churchgate (get down @ Dadar)
Dadar (Karjat local from Central line @ 5:37 am) to Karjat (get down @ Bhivpuri Road)
10 min.s Walk to the start, which is a mesmerising lake surrounded by mountain range.
The trail isn't well marked and sometimes lack of local villagers enroute, it's advisable to hire a guide if in doubt (we hired a guide, Suresh +919272939158, from a village that's 1/2 way enroute - charges INR 150/-)
Trekkers: 16 Weekend wanderers
Difficulty / Endurance: Easy-Medium / Medium
3:30 hours to reach top from the base (without visit to the famous Bhivpuri waterfall) and then walk for about 30 mins on kaccha road to reach Dasturi, from where one can get a taxi to reach Neral station @ INR 60/- per head.
