Episode Overview
In this episode of The Bridge, we bring together light skin and dark skin Black women for an open, emotional, and necessary conversation about colorism—how it affects beauty standards, dating, media representation, confidence, and identity within the Black community. This dialogue seeks to uncover how skin tone has shaped the lived experiences of Black women while creating space for healing, understanding, and unity.

While tensions and emotions naturally arise, the conversation remains grounded in empathy and mutual respect. By the end, the women find common ground in their shared identity as Black women—challenging the divisions that colorism creates and reaffirming the beauty of all shades of Blackness.
