Actor-politician Vijay’s TVK party candidate and Poonamallee candidate R Prakasam was accused of sexual harassment. A woman functionary filed a police case at the Tiruvallur District Superintendent of Police (SP) office.

The incident reportedly occurred at a party member's wedding six months ago. The complainant alleged that no action was taken by the party leadership.
